I’ve spent my career in fire protection and fire alarm design, mostly in the trenches—from the field to sorting through drawings, submittals, spreadsheets, and all the little details that can make or break a job.

Over time, I realized most of the pain wasn’t the engineering itself, it was the workflow: the retyping, the double-checking, the “where did that number come from?” moments. FireSync Labs is my answer to that. With FireGrid, I focused on building practical automation that takes real fire alarm work from CAD through calcs, BOMs, upload files, and panel-ready data with fewer clicks and fewer surprises.

Day to day, I care about two things: the people actually doing the work, and the quality of what leaves the door with your name on it. If a process can be clearer, faster, and more consistent—and still reflect how projects really run in the field—that’s the kind of problem I’m interested in solving.
